About Our Hemp Products

Let's Talk About CBD

If you’re not familiar with what CBD is, don’t worry! We’ll give you the rundown.

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound derived from hemp plants. It is a naturally occurring substance that many people incorporate into their daily routines. Although Delta-9 THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) comes from the same plant species, CBD does not have psychoactive effects. In other words, our hemp-based CBD won't get you high!

Cannabis plants are known for their two main compounds: THC and CBD. The more commonly known compound, Delta-9 THC, is responsible for the psychoactive effects, otherwise known as the “high.” Products that are purely CBD will not have the same mind-altering effects. Many people use CBD as part of their wellness lifestyle and enjoy it at any time of day or night.

If you’re exploring CBD products, you may have come across the terms “full spectrum” and “isolate.” Here’s the difference: Within the cannabis plant, there are various compounds known as “cannabinoids,” and CBD is one of them. When a CBD product is labeled as “full spectrum,” it means the extract contains all the naturally occurring compounds in the plant, such as cannabinoids, terpenes, and herbaceous-flavored oils.

Common reasons people use CBD

Pain Relief

CBD product users have claimed that this substance helps with alleviating chronic as well as temporary aches & pains. One use that many find is for arthritis.

Helps with Unwinding

People who tend to experience anxiety have said that CBD consumption has helped with relieving the symptoms associated with anxiety & stress.

Promotes relaxation

Although our CBD products do not contain any melatonin-type substances, users of purely CBD products have said that it helps relax them & settle their mind before going to bed.

What Do We Know About CBN?

CBN (Cannabinol) is a naturally occurring compound found in hemp and marijuana plants. Since our CBN is derived from hemp, it does not produce psychoactive effects.

CBN has a unique relationship with hemp because, unlike other cannabinoids, it doesn’t come directly from the plant. Instead, it forms when THC molecules undergo oxidation over time. In other words, the small amounts of THC found in hemp plants gradually convert into CBN as they break down.

CBN is often associated with relaxation and nighttime use, and many people incorporate it into their evening routines.

Common reasons people use CBN

Part of Bedtime Routine

CBN may promote sleep indirectly through reducing psychological arousal (caused by sources of stress, pain, etc.) at bedtime. This is a very important factor in getting to sleep.

Encourages Mindful Eating

This is one area where CBN differs from CBD. While CBD is often associated with appetite control, CBN is commonly linked to increased appetite. Since some people avoid THC due to its intoxicating effects, CBN is sometimes chosen as an alternative for those looking to enhance their enjoyment of food without the high.

Supports Recovery

Like CBD, CBN is being researched for its potential interactions with the body's endocannabinoid system. Scientists are currently studying how cannabinoids may play a role in overall wellness, including their relationship with the immune system. Research into CBN continues as experts explore its various applications.

What in the World is CBG?

Nicknamed the "Mother of All Cannabinoids," CBG (Cannabigerol) is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid found in cannabis. CBG sourced from hemp plants contains less than 0.3% THC.

Interest in CBG is on the rise due to its non-psychoactive properties and its growing presence in cannabinoid research. Like CBD, CBG is often chosen by those looking for a THC-free option to incorporate into their wellness routine. Scientists continue to study its various properties and potential applications.

Reasons why people use CBG

Encourages a Balanced Mood

CBG shares some similarities with CBD in its potential to support emotional well-being and balance. Like CBD, CBG is being studied for its role in emotional regulation and how it might affect emotional memory processing. Research is ongoing to better understand how CBG interacts with the body’s systems, including its potential effects on mood.

Known for its purifying qualities

CBG is being studied for its potential benefits, with research exploring its effects on inflammation and pain. One recent peer-reviewed study has highlighted CBG’s activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), but more research is needed to fully understand its role in this area (Farha et al., 2020).

Commonly associated with soothing properties

In a recent study done by NIH.gov , CBG, when formulated appropriately, showed potential for supporting inflammatory responses. Our observations suggest that non-psychoactive cannabinoids, like CBG, may have a role in research related to conditions associated with airway inflammation.

Hemp-Derived Delta-9

Unlike its counterpart derived from marijuana, hemp-derived Delta-9 THC is synthesized from industrial hemp plants that contain low levels of THC. Hemp-derived Delta-9 THC is often used in CBD products to complement their effects or provide a milder experience compared to marijuana-derived THC. It has gained attention for its potential to induce relaxation and help with stress relief, all while staying within legal THC content limits.

Encourage Relaxation

Delta-9 primarily interacts with the CB1 receptor, which can affect the mental state. Through this interaction, Delta-9 may support relaxation, contribute to feelings of drowsiness, and offer other effects that some people associate with improved sleep.

Does hemp delta-9 get you high?

The short answer is yes! -

Hemp-derived Delta-9 THC which is the psychoactive compound responsible for the “high” associated with marijuana. However, it’s important to note that even hemp-derived Delta-9 THC can still have some psychoactive effects, albeit milder compared to marijuana-derived THC.

The exact impact and intensity of the “high” can vary depending on the individual’s sensitivity, the dosage consumed, and the specific product.
